The Ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment along with partners will gather for the National Youth Forum 2026 is where young Ghanaians, policymakers and key youth-focused institutions on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at the Kofi Ohene-Konadu Auditorium of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
The forum begins at 9:00 a.m. will give young people a platform to share their concerns, ideas and expectations for the country.
Held under the theme, “A Sound Youth, A Sound Nation: Your Voice. Your Future. Our Ghana.” The theme places young people at the centre of conversations about the country’s development while encouraging them to actively contribute to decisions that affect their present and future.
Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment George Opare Addo is expected to lead the engagement, alongside heads of key agencies under the Ministry. They include the Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Osman Abdulai Ayariga, CEO of the Youth Employment Agency, Malik Basintale, CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme, Eric Adjei, and Director-General of the National Service Authority, Ruth Dela Seddoh.
Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Authority, Osman Abdulai Ayariga speaking on the youth-focused forum in early August, shared that young people need direct access to institutions responsible for areas including employment, entrepreneurship, skills development and national service, allowing them to raise questions and concerns while also proposing solutions to challenges confronting the youth.
The Ministry is partnering with the Ghana Youth Federation to widen participation and ensure that perspectives from young people across different backgrounds and parts of the country feed into the national youth development conversation.
YFM Ghana is set to broadcast the forum live to its digital audience across its Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi stations, as well as through its digital platforms, giving more young Ghanaians the opportunity to follow and participate in the conversation online as well.
