Many people now know him as Adjeley-Bi Darku. But to the Akim Swedru Senior High School community, he will always be Titanic.
Ten years ago, he walked out of the gates of Akim Swedru Senior High School as a young graduate with dreams and ambitions. Today, he returns, not as the same boy who once walked those corridors, but as a media personality who has found his place in the industry. Yet, one thing has remained unchanged: the connection to the school that helped shape his story.
For Adjeley-Bi Darku, 2026 is a particularly special year. It marks 10 years since he graduated from AKISSS in 2016. A decade of growth, experiences, challenges, opportunities, and milestones. What better way to celebrate that journey than to return to where it all began?
This November, Adjeley-Bi Darku, popularly known during his AKISSS school days as Titanic, is making that return in a special way. He is bringing the music, the entertainment, and the excitement back to his alma mater through The Return of Titanic, a homecoming rave being organized as part of the 2026 Anuanom Homecoming Celebration.
This is more than a party. It is a personal homecoming, a celebration of a 10-year journey and an opportunity to give back to the school and community that played a part in shaping him.
For Adjeley-Bi, it is about remembering where he started, appreciating how far he has come and inspiring the students who are now walking the same paths he once walked.
A weekend of memories, reunion and celebration
The 2026 Anuanom Homecoming Celebration will take place from Friday, 6th November to Sunday, 8th November 2026, under the theme “Honouring Our Past, Empowering Our Future.”
The three-day celebration has been planned to bring old students together, reconnect alumni with the school, and create memorable experiences for the AKISSS community.
Activities begin on Friday, 6th November, with the arrival and registration of old students, followed by a Candle Night and Music Night from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Saturday, 7th November, promises an eventful day. The activities begin with breakfast, followed by a visit to the Oda Big Tree, a float through Swedru town and the school campus, lunch, and project presentations. The afternoon continues with indoor and outdoor sporting activities before dinner.
The evening will then come alive with the Street Carnival and entertainment from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, followed by Anuanom Time Out at Check Point Pub.
One of the major highlights of the celebration will be The Return of Titanic Rave, featuring Adjeley-Bi Darku and Selector Danny. The YFM’s Party Pressure duo will bring their music and entertainment experience to AKISSS for a night of good music, dancing, and unforgettable moments.
For Titanic, it will be a special opportunity to reconnect with his school through the very industry he has built a career in. And with Selector Danny joining him, the night promises to bring the kind of energy and entertainment that will make the homecoming memorable.
The celebration will end on Sunday, 8th November, with a Thanksgiving Service from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. This will be followed by remarks from the Chairwoman and an address from the Headmaster before the departure of old students.
More than a night of music
At the heart of The Return of Titanic is a simple but meaningful idea: never forget where you started, no matter how far life takes you.
Ten years after leaving AKISSS, Adjeley-Bi wants to celebrate his journey with the people and community that were part of his beginnings. He also hopes that his return will encourage the current students to dream, work towards their ambitions, and believe in the possibilities that lie beyond the school gates.
For the old students, it is another opportunity to come home, reconnect and celebrate the bond that continues to bring Anuanom together.
Ultimately, The Return of Titanic is a celebration of identity, growth, gratitude and the lasting relationship between a school and the people it produces.
