Ed Sheeran has 'Shocker' drink in Ghana – ends up sitting in imaginary box for six hours

Ed Sheeran has spent some time in an imaginary box in Ghana.
The pop sensation just did a candid Instagram story, talking about his new music, writing process, and Kevin the security guard.
The most interesting anecdote, we think, concerns his latest album Divide, some of which he wrote while in Ghana, West Africa.
Sheeran says that while out there he sampled a drink called Shocker. Things apparently went a little wrong, and the musician ended up sitting in the corner of a room for six hours, “sort of in a little box”.
“I went to Ghana in Africa, which was a wonderful country, and they make this drink called Shocker, which is vodka, pineapple juice, coconut juice, and rum, and then they soak an ounce of weed in it, and I didnt know this,” Sheeran reveals to BuzzFeed .
“So, they said, ‘This is Shocker, go easy on it.’ And I was like, ‘Im Irish!’ And then I was just drinking loads of it.
“And they’re like, ‘No, no, no, no, no!’ And then suddenly I was like, ‘Woooh.’
“So yeah, that was a crazy, crazy experience because I just ended up being kind of comatose for about six hours, just kind of sitting in a corner. Don’t try it at home.”
Sheeran tells his fans not to try the drink at home, and says he didn’t get any inspiration as a result of his shocking experience.
He explains: “I was just in a little box just kinda like, when do I get out of this box? I’m not a big a when I was younger I used to dabble, and I just can’t, I can’t do it anymore. ‘
“It just doesn’t agree with me. So yeah, it really didn’t agree with me then.”
Ed Sheeran recently had his face accidentally cut by Princess Beatrice. The royal was wielding a ceremonial sword, pretending to knight singer James Blunt at a house party.
