According to entertainmentGH reported the decision of rap artist, GuruNKZ is one of the many headline acts for the Nominees Jam this Saturday.
The resolution by the organizers to include Guru in the list of performers sounds queer but there’s no doubt about the artist’s popularity and relevance in a place like Sunyani, where the Jam will take place over the weekend, so, his inclusion is somewhat justified.
But Guru in a social media post has stated that he is “not competing for any 2016 award”.
Guru wrote some hours ago after the reports broke;
“Am not competing for any 2016 Award. Jux play my show. Make my money. Am gone. Its show and bizness. We invest to reap. Thanks. The rest is my backcase…”
The Coronation Park might cave in with excitement, considering the plethora of ‘heavyweights’ that have been assembled by Charterhouse for the music concert – the first Nominees Jam for the Region.
Guru will be joined by the new ‘Lords of Hiplife’; Flowking, Medikal and Kofi Kinaata as well as the ‘King of Live Performance’ – Samini.
The gospel fold would be represented by the multi-faceted Nacee and newcomer, Mabel Okyere.
Gradually warming himself to be one of the best live performers in recent years, Ras Kuuku, is all prepped up to give Sunyani folks a taste of his enthralling stagecraft.
A former ‘Unsung’ winner to ‘New Artiste of the Year’ winner , MzVee, will also be on board to perform and to also serve as a source of inspiration for the seven (7) contestants for this year’s ‘Unsung’ – who will all get the opportunity to perform.
Admission for the Nominees Jam at Sunyani Coronation Park this Saturday, March 11, 2015 – is free!
