Lynx Entertainment’s Kuami Eugene known for his smash hit Angela sent social media into a frenzy when he premiered his latest record Confusion.
The record according to many sounded more like Mali’s Sidiki Diakite’s “Fais moi confiance”.
But in a latest interview with YFM’s Myd Morning Radio Show hosted by Brown Berry, the sensational act accepted that he was inspired by the record.
Eugene stated;
“You can’t say it’s a sample because sampling means taking the whole package. There’s something in music called feeding on the vibe or taking inspiration. Both Daddy Lumba and Kojo Antwi had songs which influenced some parts of the song. The first part of the song is inspired by a Malian artist Sidiki Diabate. I respected it when I heard Manya by Wizkid inspired by VVIP. I just wanted to prove to Ghanaians how smart and intelligent I can be in creating music.”
