Guangzhou Evergrande manager Fabio Cannavaro is the highest paid manager in the Chinese Super League and the fourth highest paid in the world.
The World Cup winner retired from playing back in 2011 and has been involved in management since 2013.
The former defender, who won the Chinese League One title and was coach of the year last year with Tianjin Quanjian, is now in his second spell at Guangzhou.
The Ballon d’Or winner earns £10.6million annually, which is the highest amount a manager in the Chinese Super League is paid.
Former Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini and ex-England boss Fabio Capello are joint-second on £8.9m after the wages of the managers of all 16 teams were revealed.
The figure also means that Cannavaro is the fourth highest paid manager in the world, as of October 2017 according to Business Insider.
Cannavaro’s manager for Italy’s 2006 World Cup triumph and China’s national team manager Marcello Lippi is the highest paid football manager on £18m-per-year.
While Cannavaro is also behind City’s Pep Guardiola (£15.3m-a-year) and Manchester United’s Jose Mourinho (£15m-a-year).
