What Klopp Said To Salah In The Summer Is Why He's Got 24 League Goals

Steven Gerrard has revealed what was said to Mohamed Salah when Liverpool signed him in the summer.
‘The Egyptian King’ returned to the Premier League with a point to prove following his nightmarish stint with Chelsea.
Liverpool snapped him up for an initial fee of £36.9 million after a prolific campaign in the Serie A with AS Roma.
And Salah’s goal return has vindicated Jurgen Klopp’s decision to lure him back to England’s top flight.
He’s already weighed in with an impressive 24 league goals, and has 32 goals in the all competitions.

 Not bad for a left-winger.
But, Gerrard has detailed the conversation between Klopp and Salah which includes the German boss telling him to attack central areas, hence why he’s netting so frequently.
“In my younger days I’d be running round everywhere on the pitch trying to impress,” Gerrard said about his own career to Liverpool’s website.
“But as I got a bit older I started getting a bit more selfish, making runs centrally.
Gerrard added: “If the ball went out wide, I’d always attack areas where you can get goals. That’s where my numbers as a midfielder grew. And that’s what Jurgen has done to him (Salah).
“When Jurgen signed him he has said to him, ‘I don’t want you stuck out wide on the wings creating for other people, I want you to be the main man. You’re going to be the top scorer in this team, so attack the sticks and attack central areas.'”
The 25-year-old continued his heroics by bagging his 24th league goal against Newcastle United, tucking away in a central position.
He’ll be looking to add to his Champions League goal tally when Liverpool revert their attention to the European campaign on Tuesday night against FC Porto.
Before heading to Old Trafford on Sunday.
