Griezmann once explained in an interview why former Manchester United and Real Madrid midfielder David Beckham is the only reason he wears a long sleeved jersey on the pitch.
The French international spoke about his idol on television as a child, and how the man himself made such a big impact on his career.
In the interview, Griezmann revisited childhood memories and explained the reason behind wearing the number 7 shirt and a long sleeved jersey:
“I liked him (David Beckham) a lot. He was my idol. That’s why I wear a long-sleeved jersey and wear the No7.”
Griezmann has been linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent years and now that his friend and international teammate Paul Pogba is at the club, a move to the Premier League in the coming months may be a viable option.
