BasketBall star Amida Brimah – From Ghana to San Antonio Spurs

BasketBall star, Amida Brimah of San Antonio Spurs in an interview with Joel Orleans on Dryve of Your Lyfe has revealed he will be hosting a training session to guide young Ghanaians playing basketball in Ghana.
The tall centre for the National Basketball Association Gatorade League team, the San Antonio Spurs, was born and raised in Accra, Ghana.
“I lived in Suhum, Nyamekye and New Town while I was in Ghana. I was attending school in Cantonment and I met one of my uncles who told me I was wasting my height in Ghana. He spoke to my parents and later flew me to Florida where I started playing High School basketball.
“It was tough in the beginning but I became so good to the point where I got a scholarship which helped fast track my tuition at the University of Connecticut.”
Amida Brimah is hoping to connect with his family and the Ghanaian culture with this trip and also help the youth who are aspiring to be like him.
“I’m trying to help the youth in Ghana aspire to greater heights because I’ve been able to break into the professional side and I can advise them on how to go about it.  I’m now trying to run a camp and teach children that everything is achievable if they put their mind to it.”
After going undrafted in 2017 NBA Draft, Brimah signed with the Chicago Bulls to play in the 2017 Summer League. In 2017, Brimah was included in the training camp roster of the San Antonio Spurs.
