Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba has revealed what he told Jose Mourinho about his unique penalty technique after his spot-kick against Burnley earlier this month was saved.
According to BT Sport, Pogba took 26 steps in his penalty run-up against Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League, and scored.
The Frenchman used the same technique against Burnley earlier this month, but had his spot-kick saved by Joe Hart.
However, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner has now revealed that he spoke to Mourinho to assure him he will not miss from the penalty spot again.
“I had no doubt about taking the penalty,” Pogba said.
“I know I missed that one, but I told him (Mourinho) I won’t do the same mistake this time.
“I had the confidence of the players as well, they let me take it too, so I thank them for this and I thank the manager.
“The most important thing was to put the ball in and that’s what happened, so I’m happy.”
