Neymar has a staggering Paris Saint-Germain release clause of £190million, according to reports in Spain.
The Brazil international has been linked with a sensational return to La Liga giants Barcelona, where he enjoyed a very successful four years at the club between 2013 and 2017.
And according to Spanish paper Sport, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi agreed a release clause in Neymar’s contract, which will come into play at the end of his third season in Paris.
This has opened the door for a remarkable move back to Barcelona in the summer of 2020, as long as Ernesto Valverde’s side are willing to pay the £190m required.
Despite the clause being put in place by the French giants, Sport also report that Neymar will not be leaving before 2020.
These reports followed Mundo Deportivo’s story that Neymar has offered to rejoin Barcelona ‘several times’ already and that a big-money deal is ‘not impossible’.
Neymar is said to have grown tired with life in Paris and wants to move back to Barcelona – and be reunited with Lionel Messi.
The 26-year-old forward joined PSG in the summer of 2017 for a fee of £198m and he has certainly not disappointed in the French capital.
The Brazilian has a brilliant return of 39 goals in just 41 games in all competitions for PSG since his arrival.
And PSG will be desperate for Neymar to lead them to glory in the Champions League before he eventually departs – the one prize that has eluded them.
