Gas filling station explodes at Krofrom in Kumasi

A gas filling station at Krofrom in Kumasi has exploded.
One person is reportedly burnt beyond recognition from the incident which happened between 7 and 7:30am Tuesday morning.
Personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service and the police have since responded to the incident and tryng to douse the fire as well control eyewitnesses who have besieged the area.
The area where the incident happened is called Tafo Nhyiaeso and located the road from the main Krofrom traffic light, through Columbia towards Tafo Nhyiaeso.
There is a car washing bay located in the area.
 
According to Graphic Online’s Kumasi reporter, Serwaa Nkyira Opoku, the police were trying to control the crowd.
