Vodafone Ghana has entered into a partnership with leading media establishment, Citi FM, to deliver this year’s “Decemba 2 Rememba” music concert.
No Telecoms company has maintained such consistency in Ghana’s music industry like Vodafone Ghana. From handling the most definitive music entertainment stage in the country – Vodafone Ghana Music Awards – to unearthing talents on Icons, Vodafone’s resolve to leave a positive footprint in the industry deserves commendation.
“Decemba 2 Rememba” is arguably the most patronised end-of-year concert in Ghana. Created in 2005 to give Ghanaians something to cheer about in December, its popularity has continued to soar with every passing year. Vodafone sees its association with the concert, this year, as an alignment with a long held ethos of contributing significantly to the music and entertainment industry in the country.
Gayheart Mensah, External Affairs Director at Vodafone Ghana said:
“Our partnership with this concert reflects our unwavering commitment to embed musical excellence in the country and help develop a sustainable industry. ‘Decemba-to-Rememba’ is a celebrated platform and we are excited that it will provide another avenue to demonstrate our commitment to the music industry. We have also outlined a lot of activities we are undertaking as part of the partnership to give our customers unmatched experience. We are certainly looking forward to it.”
Jessica Opare-Saforo, Head of Programmes at Citi FM said:
“We see this association with Vodafone as a long term enterprise that will continue yielding immense benefits for the two brands. This year’s concert will be unlike any other in terms of its uniqueness and style, and we can’t wait.”
The concert takes place at the Accra International Conference Center on December 24th, 2018. Vodafone’s mobile money service – Vodafone Cash – is selling tickets for the event at a 5% discount as part of efforts to reward customers and key stakeholders. Gates open at 8pm with a dress code of white top and jeans.
