The final 16 teams learnt their fate in the UEFA Champions League following the draw for the second round, with the draw putting up some tasty ties.
All four English clubs made it through to the knockout stages but three of the teams knew that they would face difficult ties after finishing second in their groups.
That opened Liverpool, Spurs and Manchester United up to elite clubs, having each already faced on in the groups.
Premier League champions City were first out of the draw from England and will face Germans Schalke, Spurs and Liverpool will also face German opposition in the shape of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich respectively.
Struggling Manchester United might have the most difficult of the ties for Premier League clubs though as they take on PSG.

Roma vs Porto
Ajax vs Real Madrid
Liverpool vs Bayern

The top seeds for the draw were Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, PSG, Porto, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Real Madrid and Juventus and were all guaranteed to play the second leg of their last 16 tie away.
They all knew they would face one of Atletico Madrid, Spurs, Liverpool, Schalke, Ajax, Lyon, Roma and Manchester United, after they finished second in their group.
Liverpool had made it through thanks to a win on Matchday Six against Napoli at Anfield with Alisson making a save in the dying minutes to guarantee their passage.
United might have topped their group. A surprise 2-1 win in Turin against Juventus had set up the possibility of beating the Old Lady to top spot but, whilst Juve failed to beat Young Boys, United lost to Valencia away, leaving them as second seeds.
Like Liverpool, Spurs also made it through thanks to the result in their final group game. Needing to equal or better Inter’s result Mauricio Pochettino’s men drew away against Barcelona whilst the Italians drew at home with PSV.
City’s Group Stage was altogether much simpler, despite a loss to Lyon at home on Matchday One they topped their group ahead of the French by five points.
