Leading Cement Company in Ghana, Diamond Cement Group, last Saturday held its Appreciation Night to recognize hardworking distributors and customers across the country.
In all, 35 distributors were rewarded on the night at the Marriot Hotel in Accra. There were 5 National winners and 30 other winners across the country. National Award winners were; Atala Limited, K. Ofori Limited, Bernet Enterprise, Asiru Dawuda and D.K Korankye Company Limited.
The Appreciation Night is one of ways through which the company strengthens its relationship with stakeholders nationwide.
The Group Managing Director, Mr. Prasad Motaparti expressed his heartfelt gratitude to distributors and customers for their commitment to the brand throughout its 27 years stay in Ghana.

The Executive Secretary of Cement Manufacturers Association of Ghana, Dr. Dawson-Ahmoah was excited about the strides made by Diamond Cement and the rapport they have sustained with their stakeholders.

Appreciating customers is an indication that you value your partners and those that you work with. The Association exists to protect the interest of Cement producers like Diamond Cement. We would like to take this opportunity to appeal to government to take off the 5% non-refundable VAT levy on the industry to help make our production costs a little more bearable.”
Mr. Dawson-Amoah commended the government for reducing the influx of cement from China by 97% and introducing the Ghana International Trade Commission, an Industry Law to protect all industries. He also asked that cement companies be given priority in granting license to mine limestone.
