Gareth Bale left the Santiago Bernabeu before El Clasico had finished on Saturday.
Real Madrid have suffered back-to-back defeats to Barcelona, twice on their own patch.
Barcelona dumped Real Madrid out of the Copa del Rey to book a spot in the final, and the La Liga leaders stretched their gap over them to 12 points after beating them 1-0 in the league.
Bale played in both games. He was a substitute during their cup meeting but started in the league fixture, though only lasted till the hour mark.
Marco Asensio replaced the Welshman in the 61st minute with the homes fans jeering him loudly as he walked off the field.
Uncertainty continues to cloud Bale’s future at Real Madrid.
What’s more, it’s believed Real Madrid are interested in swapping the 29-year-old for Christian Eriksen.
It’s claimed Real Madrid are prepared to use Bale as a transfer makeweight to lure the Danish midfielder away from Spurs per Mirror.
The Champions League holders are crying out for a creative midfielder with the club believed to be keen on snapping up Eriksen.
They’re expected to follow up their interest for the player during the summer transfer window when he’ll only have 12 months left to run on his contract.
The report also suggests Real Madrid will table around £50 million (!!) and Bale to tempt Eriksen away from England. A player of Bale’s ilk and cash, that sounds like an incredible deal.
Bale is also attracting interest from Manchester United who continue to be linked with his services.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have expressed an interest in Harry Kane and Dele Alli, too.
