Ghanaian rap artist Sarkodie has revealed newspaper and blog captions do not move him at the moment.
The musician who has been hit with several clickbait headlines in an exclusive interview with NY DJ on Y102.5FM revealed he was more concerned about details of such publications and not the headlines.
He was responding to weird headlines that spread like wildfire after SarkCess music announced the exit of Strongman.
“At this point in my career, captions is not gonna move me because you know how many times I’ve seen headlines about my life?..How many years in the game? I don’t really have to respond to that. What is most important to me is, what is the truth? If there is the truth in what they are saying then I will have to worry about it and come explain but that is not the truth and I know if it’s not the truth, the lie will come out and I will have a problem to face…”
“We sat down and analyzed everything, we looked at the good side and the bad side of the whole thing. The good side being the numbers going up and opportunities that came through me to him. It was also very good for me because I like him as an artist… Just that on the other side, most of the fans put a lot of pressure on him to thrive to the fullest… so lets see how this goes from this point.”
“On paper, its over but we are still working. I kind of understand the public, the fact that Sarkodie is there to be blamed, I will be blamed. Other’s think since Sarkodie is there, he should be collaborating with Alicia Keys and more. The pressure was a lot so to have the freedom to work, we are trying to see how the new arrangement will work better.” Sarkodie said.
