Kylian Mbappe scored the fastest hat-trick as a substitute in Champions League history.
The Paris Saint-Germain phenom entered the fray in the 52nd minute and bagged a stunning hat-trick 31 minutes later during his side’s 5-0 victory over Club Brugge on Tuesday.
Mbappe scored his first goal just after the hour mark. The French forward netted his second in the 79th minute after he rounded Simon Mignolet to tap into an empty net.
The 20-year-old then completed his hat-trick in the 83rd minute as he drilled a low strike into the back of the net.
He also set-up Mauro Icardi’s second goal in the 63rd minute.
What’s more, Mbappe’s the youngest player in Champions League history to score 15 goals and the fourth ever player to record a Champions League hat-trick off the bench.
Speaking after the game, he said: “It’s true I wanted to start. I thought I would. I wanted to show that it’s hard to do without me.”
PSG, meanwhile, resume their league campaign on Sunday as they host Marseille in Le Classique.
