Worlasi discusses Spirituality and Culture with Akosua Hanson

Worlasi comes back with fire music and insights on spirituality, as we discuss Worla (The Man Of God) album with Akosua Hanson On The Y Lounge.
‘Verku’ Is an up-tempo, dramatic, and eccentric song; the kind where you find tribes and villages chanting and dancing to for long days and even longer nights.
Teaming up with live band music, Senkulive, they create a crazy treat for our ears and our feet.
‘Animate’ is yet another tune that will get you up and moving and enjoying the moment. Recorded with live instruments like the trumpet and harmonica, Worlasi aims only to make organic sounds while retracing his roots through his music.
Produced by Lisa The Composer, ‘Comot’ is a new release that is not on the album, but we had to talk about it because it is just that good.
This one reflects on one’s self, inner demons, and negative thoughts.
In the chorus, you hear Worla singing ‘Comot for my head, where dey my rent o’. A metaphor. That is him basically telling his demons to vacate his mind and thoughts.
It is a song any and everybody can relate to because everyone goes through it. Everyone goes through mental trauma.
When asked in the interview by one of his fans to explain the meaning of his songs, Worlasi said: Go find an Ewe friend to explain what I’m saying.
Worlasi further explained that his goal is to promote his language and his culture. According to him, Ghanaians need to learn more about the Ewe language, as they do Twi.
