In its bid to raise awareness and encourage the use of goods and services made locally and by Ghanaians, e.TV Ghana, has dedicated the month of September to promote ‘Made in Ghana’ products and services.
The ‘Made in Ghana’ month was designed to whip up interest of Ghanaians about the benefits of promoting our own goods and services and to actually give exposure to manufacturers of locally made products. It is also to support the efforts of the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MOTI) in its ‘Made in Ghana’ campaign.
This year marks the sixth edition of the annual ‘Made in Ghana’ campaign introduced by the station.
Speaking about the ‘Made in Ghana’ month, Malebo Phage, the Head of e.TV Ghana, said, “the main aim of this campaign is to create a one stop shop for information on ‘Made in Ghana’ products and services on e.TV,” adding that, ‘’we also want to give a unique opportunity to manufacturers of local products to advertise their services to the public.’’
According to Mr Phage, the general public should look forward to a cocktail of special activities in September as e.TV Ghana celebrates the pride of Ghana. Ghanaian movies, dishes, music, games and other locally made accessories will be highly promoted both on and off air to give true meaning to the campaign.
The campaign will be taken a step higher with all e.TV staff wearing ‘Made in Ghana’ clothes and accessories as their official dress code for the month of September.
