Currently under contract until 2018 and with talk of a new extension this season, Lionel Messi isn’t leaving Barcelona any time soon.
In fact, there are a lot of people who believe the Argentinian superstar won’t quit Barca until he retires from the game altogether, such is his affinity for the Catalan club.
However, speaking in an interview in his native Argentina, Messi has admitted there is one club he would “love” to play for before calling time on his illustrious career.
Speaking to Telefe’s Polemica en el Bar, via Goal.com, the diminutive forward confirmed his interest in one day returning to Newell’s Old Boys – the Argentinian club where his football career began in 1994.
“I would love to [return],” he said. “It is something I have kept an eye on because it was my dream as a child.
