During his time at Manchester United, the Portuguese superstar shared a house with Brazilian midfielder Anderson, who has now revealed all in an interview with ‘Esporte Espetacular’
“Living with Ronaldo is all about working hard 24/7. He is an incredible person. He didn’t know me but he and Nani brought me into their home as if I were their brother. He had time for everyone,” revealed the Brazilian, who now plies his trade with Coritiba in his homeland.
As Ronaldo’s housemate, Anderson got to know all about the Portuguese’s taste in music and in particular, his love for singer Ivete Sangalo: “He loved Ivete and wanted to go and see her live. I knew her and told him that in Brazil she was like Michael Jackson. Masses of people went to her show and there were no private boxes”.
The star finally plucked up the courage to attend the show. “At that point, he was competing against Kaka for the Ballon d’Or. I asked him how the concert was and he told me that he would never attend another one in his life, before bursting out laughing,” explained Anderson as he himself tried to fight off a fit of laughter.
Not many have had the chance to share a house with the legendary forward, but it seems that Anderson enjoyed the experience.
