The Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) has officially launched its party and unveiled its flag and executives.
The launch which took place in LHD3 of the Ghana Institute of Journalism’s Ring-Way campus witnessed the presence of many party members, Ghanaians and executives.
At the ceremony, the party colours and flag were explained to individuals present as well as the values and beliefs of the party.
Also in attendance at the event were; Radio Manager at Radio GIJ Agyenim Boateng, Lecturer of the Ghana Institute of Journalism and Researcher Dominic Asitanga and final year student of the institute Michael Sa-Ambo.
Addressing the individuals gathered Agyenim Boateng charged members of the party to work hard to achieve success. Acknowledging the necessity for rest, Agyenim tasked members to perform their duties after they have had enough rest.
“If you are tired rest, after resting wake up and get back to work. You have to work hard until you are pronounced winners”, he said.
Lecturer of the Introduction to Political Communication course in GIJ Dominic Asitanga also advised party members to work collectively to achieve success and for the success of the party could not be achieved alone by the flagbearer.
“The success or failure of your party does not rest on your Flagbearer only but with your contributions to the party”, he added.
Speaking to some party members who were present at the event, they expressed satisfaction with the organization of the event and the birth of the party as well as optimistic about the party’s chances of changing the pattern of governance in the country.
“I’m so happy about how things turn out today at our party launch and I know we’re going to win the hearts of Ghanaians at the polls”, one party member said.
“With this, I believe the LDP can change our governance pattern by winning the presidential seat in the coming general elections”, another member said.
National Organizer of LDP, Hellen Adjaklo appreciated the presence of every individual and hinted at an upcoming party exercise.
