Ghana-based Nigerian artiste, Tommy WA has pinned Accra as a relevant feature on his upcoming EP, ‘Roadman and Folks’.
Tommy in an interview on Y107.9FM’s YLounge with host, Winston Micheals mentioned that his daily transits from city to city all over the world makes him what he terms ‘Roadman’ who encounters his ‘folks’ as fans and lovers of his music dispersed across the world. He explained, ” I realized that I have been on the road, being in a trance as a Roadman meeting my folks.”
He added that the EP, curates the entirety of his journey so far in the music industry and appreciated a couple of great people he has encountered during this journey especially in Ghana’s capital city.
The songwriter hinted that these people are recognized on the EP. “I got to travel a lot last year. I was in London, Berlin, South Africa, East Africa; my folks as all the great people I have met; I am the Roadman and all the great people I have met in Accra as my folks; to be honest if you check the cover art of the songs and videos you will see a specific group of people who are in my life who are recognized in this music I have made.” he noted.
The Indie-singer urged fans to keep fingers crossed and be expecting an amazing collection of soothing music on the ‘Roadman and Folks’ EP by the end of this fall, November 2023.
