Adekunle Gold, the Nigerian singer-songwriter and acclaimed master of Afropop, releases a three-song bundle, Tio Tequila. This release serves as a precursor to his upcoming album and Def Jam debut due this July.
With an innate ability to blend genres seamlessly, Adekunle Gold infuses his signature Afropop sound with elements of Afrobeats, R&B, and Amapiano. Produced by the iconic Kel-P, the three songs are a testament to Adekunle Gold’s irresistible charm and innovative musical mastery.
The bundle features his recent hit “Party No Dey Stop” featuring Zinoleesky, along with two previously-unreleased songs with “Do You Mind”, a sexy, summer anthem and “Omo Eko” which serves as a tribute to his hometown of Lagos (Eko).
These three new songs serve as an unprecedented project, with Adekunle taking on the role of the hype man, prepping us for the summer while also taking the reins of Afropop’s most competitive season.
Adekunle is set to hit summer festivals and then start his four-month world tour in North America in September, and carry on across the UK, Europe, Africa, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and the Caribbean through 2024.
