#AFCONonY: African gods take do Partey - Ghanaians troll player

Ghanaian Black Stars player and Arsenal player, Thomas Partey, saw the worst luck yesterday and Ghanaians blame him for calling the wrath of the local gods upon himself.

The player, all through the AFCON tournament, did not exactly pull his weight, hence Ghanaians we’re not impressed by his performance until the last match in which Ghana still got eliminated.

Right after the exit of the Black Stars, the player rushed to London as fast as he could just so he could join the Arsenal team in the EFL match and upon substitution at the 74th minute, Partey won himself a red card just about 15minutes later. This means he will not be playing in the next EPL game.

Thomas Partey is undoubtedly one of Ghana’s best players, hence, it looked a lot to Ghanaians that Partey did not involve himself very much in Ghana’s matches at the AFCON just so he could save all his energy for Arsenal. For this, Ghanaians have taken to Twitter to troll the player over his wasted effort.

Thomas Partey gidigidi you reach london……african gods show am red card , next time😂😂😂

2 yellows in the space of 3 minutes for Thomas Partey. Early shower and misses one game to rest 😆

— Owuraku Ampofo (@_owurakuampofo) January 20, 2022

“Thomas Partey gidigidi you reach london……African gods show am red card. Next time“, “In two days, Thomas Partey has been knocked out of two cup competitions on two different continents”, “Thomas Partey rushed from Cameroon to London just to take a red card. Finished midfielder”, some tweets read.

The player has however taken to his Instagram to apologize to both Ghanaian and Arsenal fans.
