Guyanese Afropop singer, Keisha Thomas, known in showbiz as Kaiya, has disclosed that all her songs are inspired by love.
According to her, her musical journey as a professional musician started during the global pandemic. “I’ve been doing music; I really started getting into the booths and just becoming a recording artiste during the pandemic,” she hinted.
“It’s love. It’s just love.” She noted as a reply to Y107.9FM Myd Morning Radio Show’s Rev Erskine who asked what goes into the writing process of making her songs.
Kaiya made reference to her first song titled ‘You Lost Me’ as what signified a transformation from what she was to whom she was going to be.
“I had to do ‘You Lost Me’ because it basically a track transforming from the individual, I am to the individual I am going to be.” A captivating statement which matches the sweet tune of a few songs of hers like ‘Love Potion’.
