Ghanaian musician and a member of new pressure group Alliance For Change, Nana Yaw Oduro otherwise known as Trigmatic has dispelled reports that suggest that the group is at war with the Ghana Music Rights Organization.
Speaking to NY DJ on Y102.5FM on the theme Benefits of a better structure in the entertainment industry, Trigmatic explained the pressure group was interested in collaborative efforts leading to a better royalty collection and distribution system than tearing down other institutions.
“We are actually looking at engaging all industry players which includes GHAMRO, MUSIGHA and GHAMRO who has the sole mandate to collect our royalties is one of the first players we are targeting. We are not in to fight at all. It would only take collaborations to make this work.”
He explained the pressure group is a collection of creative arts stakeholders who believe in creating a thriving transparent, prosperous music industry which will fairly reward all individuals and entities engaged in the business industry in Ghana.
