Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom set to get half of his £25m fortune in bitter divorce

Their split has been acrimonious from the outset, with him accusing her of cheating with Anthony Joshua, and her hitting back, most recently by cropping him out of images and vowing to raise their unborn baby alone.
The latest in their divorce saga is that he could be set to lose half of his fortune to his ex as their bitter battle intensifies after she declared last December their pre-nup had been destroyed.
Solicitor Harold Walker told the Daily Star: ‘The starting point will be a 50:50 division of all assets.
‘His lawyers might argue that his cash is tied up in family businesses and investments but that will make no difference apart from to draw the process out.
‘He will be told to break-up any firms and sell any investments to make sure he can pay the money into court.’
Amir could also potentially lose custody of his daughter Lamaisah as well as their new baby – meaning he could also be hit with child support.
The news comes following Faryal’s announcement that she’s expecting their second baby in February. After announcing her pregnancy at the weekend, Faryal since said she’ll be raising the new baby alone.
She told fans she was expecting in a post shared online which said: ‘Alhumdulilah , blessed with baby number 2 in my tummy #excited eating away, can’t stop’.
However, friends of the 26-year-old, who is also mother to three-year-old daughter Lamaisah, say she has vowed to ‘do it alone’ as the pair continue their bitter divorce battle.
According to The Sun, she told friends ‘I don’t need help.’
They added: ‘Faryal’s announcement came as a shock to everyone involved but she doesn’t want anything more from Amir now.
‘They’re back on speaking terms, trying to keep everything civilised for the sake of their daughter and extended families, but the relationship is finished.
‘She’s a strong woman — and the pregnancy isn’t going to change that.’
