Arsene Wenger has shed light on when he expects to make his return to football after embarking on a break from the game.
Wenger says he’s already received plenty of offers to come back into the managerial game and though he’s not specified what role he will have, he reckons he will return at the very start of next year.
“I feel rested and am ready to work again,” the 68-year old told German newspaper BILD.
“From my 22 years at Arsenal, I have big experience on different levels. There are enquiries from all over the world.”
Wenger, who was in the dug-out managing one of the teams in Per Mertesacker’s testimonial at the weekend, has been heavily linked with a position at Paris Saint-Germain.
According to ESPN, he could have a new job as the General Manager in the French capital.
Currently the Ligue 1 champions have Antero Henrique as their sporting director but his position is under threat after he failed to deliver some top transfer targets.
The report claims that Wenger has already been approached and though he would prefer a coaching role, he has told the club that he is keeping his options open and not ruled the position out.
