Loris Karius’ short time at Beşiktaş might be coming to a halt after the club is ready to part ways with him in January.
Liverpool sent the 25-year-old German ‘keeper out on a two-year loan deal to the Turkish side in the summer and he has failed to impress his new club.
The Daily Mirror reports that Beşiktaş are paying 50 per cent of Karius’ wages and could make the loan deal permanent, but that would seem highly unlikely now.
On his Beşiktaş debut, he made a howler against Malmö in the Europa League.
Surprisingly, the club are hopeful of sending Karius back and making a move for another Liverpool star instead.
According to Fotomaç, Beşiktaş would be keen to take Divock Origi out on a loan deal similar to Karius’. The 23-year-old Belgian striker signed for Liverpool in 2014 and has been out on loan at Wolfsburg and Lille since his move.
It would be difficult for Karius to be a regular starter under Jürgen Klopp, who splashed out the big money to sign Alisson from Roma in the summer.
Klopp’s side have made a fantastic start to the season and are second in the Premier League, with Liverpool level on points with defending champions Manchester City.
