Ghana’s budding superstar, Black Sherif, born Mohammed Ismail Sharrif makes his first entry into the Billboard; World Albums chart with his debut album “The Villain I Never Was”.
After its release on October 6, Black Sherif’s album ranks 12th on the Billboard World Album chart becoming therelate second Ghanaian artiste after Amaarae to feature on the world chart.
2022 is undoubtedly Black Sheirf’s year after his album also became the first Ghanaian album to garner 100 million streams on Boomplay.
Blacko’s album purposefully biographic highlights his trials and tribulations through his journey thus far. The 14-track album has hit records “First Sermon”, and the Burna Boy-assisted “Second Sermo” Remix.
It has got some relatable sounds for the streets with explosive vibes in “Oil In My Head”, “Prey Da Youngsta”, “Wasteman”, “45” and Konongo Zongo with some love stories on “Oh Paradise”, “Don’t Forget Me” and “Toxic Love City”s.
