Few days after thrilling fans to his first headline concert in Accra, Ghana, Black Sherif releases the video for “Konongo Zongo” off his highly-acclaimed debut album “The Villain I Never Was”.
The music video shot by the renowned Ghanaian creative director, Babs Direction, was filmed in Black Sherif’s native town, Konongo, a four hours’ journey from the thronged city of Accra.
In search of a better life while maintaining his identity, the striving young man in the video shrugs off every form of oppression.
Black Sherif continues to share his strides and successes along his seemingly tough journey.
Konongo Zongo is track 7 of Black Sherif’s debut album which was produced by a familiar friend and music producer, Joker Nharnah. The track has since amassed over 700 million streams across major digital streaming platforms.
