Popular event expert and lead organizer of the youth-centered UNIFEST concert in Sekondi-Takoradi, has shed light on the purpose behind the event and the agreed time for headlining act Black Sherif’s performance.
His remarks comes after many who are demanding answers for Blacko’s delay to the stage of the show which kicked off at 8:00PM.
The CEO of YB Entertainment in an interview on 97.9 FM’s Digi Trendz with host PM, revealed that UNIFEST was curated to bring tertiary students together for an unforgettable experience with Blacko simply being the icing on the cake.
“Our goal wasn’t just about seeing Blacko. We wanted the crowd to have a thrilling time from start to finish, with engaging performances throughout the night before the headline act appeared,” YB explained.
He emphasized that the night was intentionally designed to build excitement and energy leading up to Black Sherif’s set. “We wanted to give the people of Takoradi a show that was full of excitement. The idea was to keep the fun going even before the artiste came on,” he said.
Touching on the delay that frustrated many patrons, YB clarified that the plan from the onset was for Black Sherif to perform well past midnight. “We were planning on bringing Sherif on stage around 12:30 to 1:00 AM,” he revealed.
