Popular Ghanaian talent manager and event organizer, Blackk Cedi has revealed that the motivation for the Gold Coast event, was birthed from a crop of experiences from other major events across the world.
He shared that, he was influenced by these impressive events and thought it would be captivating to bring such euphoria to Ghana.
The artiste manager also reiterated, Ghana has become the global attraction of the world and it would be reasonable to capitalize on that opportunity to not only make money, but also a platform to put local Ghanaian artistes on the globe.
“The Gold Coast event is happening from like a gathered experience. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to be on some of these festivals around the world and I’ve seen a few steps that I felt to bring that experience to my country. Ghana now has become the spotlight everybody is watching and I feel like it’s time we have something that will put Ghanaian artistes on the front stage of the world’s music,” he told Rev. Erskine on another episode of YGM’s YHavoc Twitter space dubbed “Creating Memories: The Major Events This December.”
He also shared that Wakanda was one of the interesting places he derived his idea for the Gold Coast Carnival and encouraged others to try it out.
He further disclosed the event is targeted at both indigenous Ghanaians and also outsiders. However, it is solely geared to allow local artistes perform for the event, an attempt to promote the Ghanaian creatives.
