Bolt (formerly Taxify), the leading on-demand transportation platform, at a press conference at Bophurus Restaurant in Labone announced the launch of ‘Comfort’ category. With this new option, passengers will now be able to request more spacious rides for everyday commutes while drivers earn more.
Bolt’s Operations Manager, Albert Aryee explaining why commuters and drivers should choose Bolt said : “We motivate our drivers with bonus compensations, we also take their feedback from time to time with this special round table session we have to understand what’s happening on the ground as they deliver services so we can offer our customers the best rides.
“When fuel prices kept shooting up, we partnered with Shell to give discount to our drivers and we are currently working on partnering with one of the largest data providers for our drivers to get affordable data to help them provide great service.”
The comfort category will be an addition to the existing Bolt base category on the app and will have top rated drivers with car models ranging from Toyota Corollas to Honda Civics.
Interested drivers with vehicles that meet the requirements of four-door cars, 2003 and newer can register to drive on ‘Comfort’ by visiting the Partners page.
“At Bolt, our focus is to enhance and elevate the consumer experience. We have been carefully listening to customers’ needs, and are thrilled to announce the introduction of the Comfort category. The category is perfect for young professionals, students, groups of friends and basically anyone in need of more legroom and space to spread out and soak in the beautiful city of Accra.” He added.
The company recently underwent a global rebrand, including changing its name from Taxify to Bolt, in a move aimed at bringing the brand identity in line with the company’s broader vision of transportation. Bolt’s services already include ride-hailing, with cars and motorbikes, as well as scooter sharing in some selected countries.
