Shatta Wale’s former manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson has chimed in on why BET picked Stonebwoy ahead of his former artist Shatta Wale.
The outspoken music executive speaking to Charles Kele on Happy FM‘s Punch Lines segment stated;
“If Shatta had gotten the nomination, I would have been happy because it would have boosted his CV as an artist because he is a talented musician. He has worked and if he was able to get the nomination, it would have added more to his brand.
“It’s not just about working hard, I don’t know the BET Awards’ criteria and I don’t know what informs their decisions but with some of these things you have to lobby.
“There is a lobby system, somebody like Stonebwoy listed all the great things he did under the year of review. Those are part of the lobbying. When I checked the other side, I did not see Bandana (Shatta Wale) and co doing that.”
