In one of the more unorthodox bookings in the history of the Premier League history, Burnley’s Ashley Barnes was given a yellow card for kissing Joe Bennett twice on the nose at Turf Moor today.
The two had an altercation in first-half stoppage time and squared up to one another. But instead of raising his head towards Bennett, Barnes decided to show his affection for the Cardiff left-back by giving him two smooches.

But while love might have been in the air, referee Mike Dean was having none of it and brandished easily the most bizarre yellow card he’s ever had to dish out.
Burnley would go on to claim a huge 2-0 victory against Cardiff in the fight to avoid relegation, with a brace from Chris Wood sealing [with a kiss] the win.
