‘Canelo’ Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin is happening, folks!
Oh baby! Fresh off a fight of the year candidate last weekend at Wembley Stadium between Joshua and Klitschko, we know have another monster fight to look forward to.
Following Alvarez’s complete domination over Mexican rival Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., the bout was made OFFICIAL.
The biggest star in boxing easily dispatched Chavez Jr., sweeping up scorecards of 120-108 across the board.
But while last nights ‘Mexican War’ was a dud, the same cannot be said about the impending biggest fight of the year.
Alvarez and Golovkin will finally lock horns on September 16th from Las Vegas, Nevada, at the T-Mobile Arena.
The Kazakh-destroyer is coming off a rare unanimous decision victory over Daniel Jacobs, with some in the boxing circles even claiming he’s on the slide.
But Golovkin (37-0) will finally get his big “Drama Show” as he puts his middleweight titles on the line, apart from the WBC belt – Alvarez isn’t too pleased with the governing body.
Boxing fans, get pumped. How sick is this fight going be?!
