Carlo Ancelotti has agreed a deal to become the new Everton manager.
The Italian left Napoli last week and is set to take charge of the Toffees who have had club legend Duncan Ferguson in charge since the sacking of Marco Silva two weeks ago.
They have had a turnaround in form since sacking Silva and defeated Chelsea last weekend as well as draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford yesterday.
Sky Sports News are reporting that an official announcement could be made before Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarter-final clash with Leicester City.
Ferguson will remain in charge for that cup tie even if Ancelotti takes over.
It’s a huge managerial appointment for Everton as the 60-year-old has managed some of the world’s greatest teams.
He has won the league in four of Europe’s top five leagues as well as the Champions League with AC Milan and Real Madrid.
