Y102.5 FM in Kumasi, has once again proven itself as one of the best in the country when it comes to DJs.
The brand put all competitors to sleep by clenching five (5) nominations in the 2024 Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, making them the radio station with the highest number of nominations in the Ashanti Region.
These triumphant feat has come at a time when Y 102.5 FM Kumasi is celebrating 10 years of providing its listeners with top notch music and entertainment.
DJ Coleda and DJ Bongo received a total of five (5) nominations between , making it one of the highest a brand has ever received in the area.
DJ Coleda’s four (4) nominations include; Scratch DJ of the Year, Female Radio DJ of the Year, Female DJ of the Year and Best DJ in the Ashanti Region.
DJ Bongo also received a nomination for the Best DJ in the Ashanti Region.
Speaking on the nomination, Director for Broadcasting at Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC), Timothy Karikari indicated that these nominations are a testament to the fact that Y 102.5 FM-Kumasi is truly the number one English radio speaking station in the Ashanti Region. To him, such nominations reiterate the fact that YFM is the leader in the urban music space, and a pace setter in music promotion and entertainment.

The Guinness Ghana DJ Awards, established to celebrate and appreciate the skills of DJs in Ghana, aims to foster the development of the local music industry. The awards scheme recognizes the electronic dance music scene and highlights the significant role DJs play in the entertainment industry.
Guinness Ghana DJ Awards 2024 will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, 8 PM at the Palms Convention Centre. The event will mark 12 years of celebrating exceptional DJ entertainment in Ghana.
