The Founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of BlackIvy, Cheryl Mills has created a modern, community living for middle-class families in Ghana through its award-winning real estate company, IndigoHomes.
During a media engagement and a site tour of IndigoHomes developments, OyarifaPark and AyiMensahPark, the African-American investor said Ghana was her first country of choice because of her deep connection to the country.
“I founded BlackIvy with the express purpose of building business in countries where there was an opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives and as an African-American feeling a deep connection to Ghana”.
“Though we visited nine countries, we decided on Ghana as our first country of choice. We ultimately determined the first place we wanted to invest in would be Ghana because people are very hospitable and very friendly as well”, she added.
Ms. Mills mentioned that she introduced the townhome concept to make family-friendly amenities accessible to the average Ghanaian.
“IndigoHomes communities are created to offer owners and residents 2, 3 and 4 bedroom townhomes that are built with attention to detail, integrated green parks and gardens, children’s playgrounds, sports courts, swimming pools and more. We are delighted to demonstrate versatility, resilience, ingenuity and excellence in all homes. So far, we have completed and handed over 300 homes to our proud homeowners, giving them access to a high-quality home in thoughtfully designed and enjoyable communities that offer family-friendly amenities”.
“Also, because, we are confident of the quality of homes we build and give the average Ghanaian value for their money, we give a 12-month home warranty for non-structural concerns and 36-month warranty for any structural highlight that need our attention”, she noted.
