Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid president Florentino Perez are set to hold crunch talks over the star’s future.
Ronaldo threw his future at Real in doubt when, just after the Champions League final, he stated that he did not know where he would be next season:
“It was nice to be at Madrid,” he said, standing in the mixed zone at the Olympic Stadium, Kiev. In a few days I will give a response to the fans, because they have always been at my side.”
Following Portugal being knocked out of the World Cup, rumours have started to spread, with Juventus reportedly keen on bringing the attacker to Turin.
So, as per Spanish outlet Marca, a meeting is set to take place between Ronaldo and Perez, either this Wednesday evening or tomorrow morning. The president is looking to stamp out any such saga sweeping across the summer.
It is thought that Ronaldo feels unwanted at the club but insists money isn’t a factor. There’s the belief that there’s more chance that the former Manchester United player will leave than not leave the Madrid club this summer.
