Diego Costa is an excellent striker, a very moody man and, by the looks of his social media activity tonight, not someone to let a grudge go all too easily. The former Chelsea player was not good at hiding his feelings about Antonio Conte.
Probably due to the fact that he was out of sight, and therefore out of mind, for the entirety of the first half of this season it feels like Diego Costa left Chelsea a long time.
As it actually is it was only the end of last season where the Brazilian born Spaniard text his then boss Antonio Conte to tell him he was looking forward to the next season only to be told he wasn’t wanted.
Instead Chelsea signed Alvaro Morata, and latterly Olivier Giroud, to play upfront with last season’s Premier League winning top scorer for the Blues being sold back to Atletico Madrid once their transfer ban was lifted.
Tonight he showed that he still hasn’t forgiven his former manager by taking to his Instagram story and saltily removing Conte’s name from Chelsea’s line up:

Last January Costa reportedly wanted out of Chelsea, with the Blues in sight of winning the Premier League, with offers from China supposedly turning his head.
Despite scoring 20 goals in the league last season and leading Conte to an unlikely title in his first year in England the former Juventus manager clearly never forgave his striker for wanting to leave.
He finally got to sign for Atleti this January when their transfer ban was lifted and he’s already scored three goals and pick up two assists in nine La Liga games.
He may be far from Chelsea now but he’ll never forget how Conte got rid of him!
