Born Jeffrey Clein Ashiabi, DJ Snoop, The Hitman followed music from 1990s. DJ Snoop boldly decided to become a deejay when he could no longer contain the inspiration he had received from listening to Woodman, Giles Bossman, Mark Okraku-Mante and Azigiza Junior – the giants of the time in Ghana’s radio industry.
By 1998, DJ Snoop “The Hitman,” started his profession as a DJ, and has DJ-ed in top nightclubs like Berlins (Cotton Nightclub), His Majesty’s, Boomerang, Afrodisiac and Rapsody’s as the resident DJ.
“My determination, professionalism and knowledge of music secured me a job with Top Radio, Choice FM and opportunities to be the main deejay for Brick and Lace, Eve, Wyclef Jean, Red Cafe and Fabolous when they came to Ghana. Being one of the few deejays who have rub shoulders with international acts in those days is testament to my DJ skill.” DJ Snoop disclosed.
Nominated for Mobile Deejay of the Year in 2012 at the Ghana Deejay Awards, DJ Snoop, “The Hitman,” is showing no signs of slowing down in his career. When he is not rocking crowds at events, he can be heard live exhibiting his versatility on Room Service, every Monday and Tuesday night between 10pm-12am.
He is also the DJ for WTF (What The Friday) Friday mornings, from 6am – to 9am, and the Wake & Bake Show, 6am-9am Saturdays on Y107.9FM.
