Award-winning Ghanaian artiste, Elom Adablah popularly known as E.L after a hiatus from the music scene, has opened up about his silence and his plans for his comeback.
In his just-released documentary dubbed, “Till The Wheel Fall Off”, E.L spoke candidly about the tough period he faced.
E.L explained that while he appreciated the positive feedback he had received from fans about his earlier music, he no longer identifies with the artiste he used to be.
“Do not expect the same EL. Usually people come to my in-box and talk about liking my tracks but that’s not me anymore. I barely recognize that person. That’s great music but I just don’t identify as that person anymore. So I’m looking at that person as a stranger. I really don’t know what that is and there’s a disconnect there. So even though that’s me it doesn’t interest me so much,” he said.
E.L went on to describe the changes he has gone through since his last release, saying that he is now a more mature and multi-faceted artiste than before. He feels that he is more in control of his mental processes and the capacity to express himself in many different ways.
He however promised to introduce a new genre to the world and a better version of what he does best. “I’m going to my Azonto music, do my Afrobeats music, my love songs, produce weird music that the world has no idea could be concocted. I’m going to express myself the way I want to express myself so yeah don’t expect the same.”
