Game Of Thrones star Emilia Clarke expressed that she is making changes to the way she communicates with her fans during an interview with Jesse Ware on theTable Manners podcast.
The actress recounted that she was going through a panic attack while by herself at the airport due to exhaustion, when someone approached her for a selfie. As she was crying and trying to catch her breath, she turned down the fan, explaining she needed “a minute” to herself.
Due to incidences like this one, she has set her mind to pause fan selfies for the moment. Clarke admitted that she will still sign autographs as she still believes it would be a meaningful way to interact with her fans.
She shared that small talk allows people to have “a truthful human-to-human thing,” while hasty selfie moments are “probably [not] nice” for both parties involved.
Clarke also recently revealed on Instagram that she will be starring in The Seagull at Playhouse Theatre in London from 11 March 2020 to 30 March 2020. Those interested can head on over here for tickets.
