The former Director-General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, Madam Eva Naa Merley Lokko has died. She had battled ill-health for short while.
Her death was confirmed in Accra by officials of the Progressive People’s Party on whose ticket she was to contest the Klottey Korle constituency parliamentary seat in the 2016 elections.
She was previously the PPP’s running mate in the 2012 general election.
An articulate speaker, engineer and politician, Madam Eva Lokko attended Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast and held a master’s degree in Intelligent Management Systems, System Analysis and Design.
