Mr. Afful went on to explain how Veunex directly address challenges at the workplace by revolutionizing traditional safety practices, unlike reactive approaches that respond to incidents after they occur, – historical approach.

“Workplace safety is a pressing global concern with millions of workers affected by occupational accidents and work-related illness each year. According to the International Labour Organization (ILO) approximately 340 million occupational accidents, 160 million victims of work-related illnesses, 2.78 million workers lose their lives annually due to workrelated incidents. These highlights the critical need for innovative solution like Veunex.

“Moreover, the economic impact of workplace accidents and injuries is staggering amount to around 4% of global GDP or USD2.8 trillion, being lost to direct and indirect costs of accidents and diseases. Research published by the European Centre for Research Training and Development (UK) led by Dr. Maxwell Asumeng, of University of Ghana came to light a total of 8,692 (Eight thousand, six hundred and ninety-two) work related accidents were reported in 2000 here in Ghana,” he stated

Minister for Communications and Digitalisation, Mrs. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, and supported by Carl Ampah of the UNESCO Country Office and the Board Chairman of NCA, Okatakyie Ababio Boakye Danquah II.
