Accra Great Olympics Board Member and the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Presidential hopeful, Frederick Pappoe says, colt football is suffering because of disinterest on the part of football lovers.
Speaking on colt football at the GFA Presidential Debate, he declared that, “Interest in the higher level of football is a major reason leading to the decline in colt football.”
According to him, most football lovers in the country patronize games of the senior teams and premier league clubs at the expense of colt football which should not be the case. Colt football as the foundation of the all senior teams should receive the greater level of attention and not the senior teams.
Pappoe who is looking to stage a comeback into leadership position at the federation following his exit from the Executive Committee in 2015 has to battle it out with Nana Yaw Amponsah, Amanda Clinton, Kurt E.S Okraku and George Ankomah Mensah for the top spot of Ghana football.
